Made in connection with the timeline featured here, this sixteen minute video highlights the women who developed the Augsburg Nursing Program, its history, and what makes it valuable to students and community members.

 

I was given over ten hours of oral history recordings to delve into, cut down, and put together as a cohesive story. Using kinetic typography, I wanted to create movement and the feeling of tactility in an otherwise fully auditory piece. Additionally, I used shifting color as a way to differentiate between who was speaking.

 

Prior to this, I had never made a kinetic typography video and teaching myself this process was really exciting.
